Overview
This attractive 3-bedroom villa is located in a dominant position on the edge of a charming village just outside Condom. It offers 85 m² of living space, including a living room with wood burner, a kitchen, an enclosed veranda, 2 bathrooms and a separate WC. Each of the three bedrooms has a large window, and the house is full of light.
The property comprises 2915 m² in total, including a heated in-ground swimming pool, a large orchard with many varieties of cherry trees, as well as apple and quince, and a large lawn.
There is a 45m² terrace on the south side of the property.
There is also a small barn (35m²) housing the pool pump and garden equipment. You could also easily fit a car.
Garden
The entire property is fenced, and there is a pretty white gate at the entrance, followed by a long driveway.
On our left is over a thousand square meters of lawn and flowerbeds, and the house, with its fresh white walls and deep red roof tiles, is on our right.
Behind the house, there is a mature cherry orchard, with a number of different varieties which produce abundantly every year!
Entrance
The owners usually enter the house through the large laundry room, which also functions as a mud room and boiler room – the house has gas central heating and the well-maintained boiler is here too. There are ample cupboards and hooks for coats, and even space for a second fridge and washing machine.
Living Room and Veranda
You can also enter the house through the glassed-in veranda or directly into the living room. Both of these entrances are on the other side of the house, where a large (45 m²) wooden terrace is the ideal place to watch the sun set over the lovely rolling fields.
Kitchen
This property benefits from a fully fitted kitchen with a breakfast bar and a large window looking out over the lawns. The microwave and oven are both built-in and at waist height so really convenient and protected from small children.
Bedrooms
The first bedroom faces the front of the house and has a large built-in closet.
Bedrooms 2 and 3 face the terrace and all three of them have parquet flooring.
Bathrooms
There is a spacious bathroom with sink, WC and bidet next to the laundry room.
A shower room is in the hall adjacent to the bedrooms.
A separate WC is conveniently located in the hall opposite the living room so it is ideal for guests.
All are in good condition and have been refreshed in recent years.
Swimming Pool
Unusually for a property in this price range, this house comes with an attractive in-ground salt-water pool. There is a wooden deck surrounding it, and well-established lavender grows along one side. The views from here are lovely and it is also heated so you can enjoy it for longer than the usual two-three months.
Grounds
There is a large attached garden shed on the side of the house where you can keep all your tools and store preserves.
At the side of the pool there is a simple barn structure which houses the pool pump and is also used to store garden furniture and the tractor. Here you can easily fit a car, and of course there is electricity so you can use this space as a workshop too.
This structure is attached to the neighbour’s barn but the property is not overlooked and there are no issues with the neighbour.
Next to the swimming pool there is a charming little round tower with a weather vane and an adjoining covered terrace. This is the perfect little hideaway in which to sit reading a book or sipping a cup of tea while the children play in the pool – although the children will probably want this space for themselves!!
Our Thoughts At BLISS
This is the ideal family home; it is bright and spacious and is really good condition.
The fenced garden and security cover for the pool means that children and animals can play freely.
We love the tiny tower and covered terrace; they add an unexpected charm and character to the property.
The situation is ideal; 5 minutes from shops, schools and amenities.
The views are lovely and the house is not isolated so it would be easy to lock up and leave; it has been a cherished holiday home in recent years and would also work well as a holiday rental.
The only thing I would change is the gas tank – I would either enclose it in a wooden fence or try to have it buried in the garden.
This is a great house and represents really good value for money.
