The property is elegant from the outside, a symmetrical building in fine white stone. The gardens provide ample space for a family with dogs or horses and yet it is within an easy drive to local schools and shops.
Internally, the style is warm and refined with lots of fine pale oak. In this sense it is rustic, yet refreshingly modern. The fine pale oak floors are a joy.
It is important to know traditionally the property would have been inhabited on the ground floor, and this is spacious with two reception-rooms and a room which is not really used other than for arts and crafts which could be a downstairs bedroom. As such the bedroom in the loft are under the original roof beams, and although each room is cosy and charming, “nest-like” almost, in a romantic style, the rooms are bisected in some corners by the framework of the roof, and there is not full head height in all four corners of the bedrooms.
