Overview
The property is approached via a long private lane, gently winding through trees on either side, creating a strong sense of seclusion and anticipated arrival. Facing the lane, the ensemble is composed of three distinct sections: to the left, the traditional half-timbered farmhouse; at its centre, a wood-clad guest cottage; and to the right, the original barn.
A dedicated parking area provides ample space for several vehicles. The house itself is enclosed by a fenced garden, while beyond it stretch extensive woodlands, with the surrounding landscape entirely wooded, reinforcing the feeling of privacy and immersion in nature.
An extensive renovation has been undertaken with great care, preserving as many original features as possible while enhancing comfort and functionality. The front door, painted in a charming shade of pink, sets the tone immediately. Its approach is lined with roses and aromatic plants, offering colour, fragrance and seasonal interest throughout the year.

Ground floor
From the moment one steps inside, the house reveals a palette of natural wood, vibrant accents of colour, and an enveloping sense of peace. Traditional in its use of original materials yet contemporary in its composition, the space tells a creative and carefully curated story.
The owner has removed the interior wall that once separated the kitchen from the living room, retaining only the original wooden structural beams. The result is a generous, light-filled open space that blends character with luminosity, enhanced by high ceilings, original fired-earth floor tiles and exposed timbers. This central living area now brings together the kitchen, dining space and lounge, with a mezzanine reading nook overlooking the seating area.
In the living room, a Godin wood burner is set within a beautifully preserved brick chimney, providing both charm and warmth, and complementing the recently installed heat pump system. Throughout the house, the original floors were carefully lifted and replaced with authentic, reclaimed or period-appropriate tiles, chosen to preserve and reinforce the home’s overarching sense of authenticity.

To the left of the entrance, a charming country-style kitchen unfolds, where all interior doors and work surfaces have been crafted from recycled materials sourced from the original house itself. French doors, along with a large window above the sink, flood the room with natural light and frame open views across the wooded landscape to the west. An original cream Falcon range completes the space, adding both character and functionality.

This level also features two bedrooms, a bathroom and a separate WC, offering comfortable and practical everyday living.
Behind the kitchen, a discreet door leads to the utility and boiler room, which also functions as a secondary kitchen, providing additional storage and preparation space.

First floor
The first floor of the main house, accessed via a spiral staircase, offers two bedrooms, a shower room and a separate WC.

Guest accommodation
The guest accommodation, arranged over two floors, has been designed with remarkable flexibility: it can remain entirely independent, or be seamlessly reintegrated into the main house simply by opening the connecting doors. This adaptability makes it ideal for hosting family and friends, creating multigenerational living, or developing a rental activity.
Accessible either directly from the garden or via an internal door from the main house, the ground floor opens onto a spectacular open-plan living space. A full wall of tall French doors runs along the front of the room, while large skylights above flood the interior with natural light in all seasons. Smooth concrete floors introduce a contemporary note, while a Godin wood burner in one corner provides warmth for the entire space.
An open-plan kitchen occupies one corner of the room, and at its centre, a well-established indoor garden reinforces the sensation of living in harmony with nature. Behind the kitchen, and discreetly screened by a wall constructed from original reclaimed doors found on site, are two shower rooms and a separate WC.
At the rear, a door opens onto a charming private terrace, overlooking the back garden and the surrounding woodland—an ideal spot for quiet mornings or long summer evenings. The first floor of this guest house is arranged as a large open-plan sleeping area, offering both volume and tranquillity.

To the side of the property, a large, adjoining barn provides generous space for a workshop, storage or further development, subject to requirements and permissions.
The Grounds
The property is set on approximately one hectare of land, nestled within a much larger forested environment. While the immediate surroundings of the house are laid to lawn, most of the land consists of mature woodland, ensuring privacy, calm and a deep connection to nature.
The private road leading to the property is protected by a right of way, guaranteeing that there is no passing traffic whatsoever—an increasingly rare luxury that enhances the sense of absolute seclusion.
